OUR BELIEFS

Doctrines that make us Distinct

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe the Holy Bible is a supernatural book that is the very Word of God, given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The sixty-six books of the Bible constitute the full, final and complete revelation of God's will to man.
We believe that the Authorized Version (the King James Bible) is the inspired, inerrant, preserved Word of God for English-speaking people. The Bible is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

CREATION

We believe the Genesis record of the creation is literal, and not allegorical or figurative; that God personally created the universe in a direct act; that He brought forth all original matter out of nothing. We believe that man was created directly in God's own image and not by any form of evolution.

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, who has always existed from eternity past, was made flesh and was miraculously born of a virgin. After living a sinless life, Christ laid down his life on the cross, for the payment of man’s sins. He died, was buried, and by His power bodily rose from the dead three days later. The Lord has promised that He will return again to receive unto Himself all the saints at the rapture.

FREENESS OF SALVATION

We believe that salvation is offered freely by Jesus Christ to all people without reservation. This salvation is only by grace through faith, accompanied by a personal repentance from sin. Once an individual has been saved, he has received eternal life, and can never lose it.

THE CHURCH

We believe the New Testament church is a local, visible, autonomous assembly of baptized believers. It is an institution which Jesus Christ established during His earthly ministry, prior to the events of Acts 2 and the Day of Pentecost. The true mission of the church is found in the Great Commission. Each church is an independent congregation, not controlled by any denomination or other authority.

CHURCH ORDINANCES

We believe the ordinance of baptism is the immersion in water of a believer. The authority to baptize lies in the local church, and identifies a believer with the doctrine of that church.

We believe that in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, after solemn self-examination, and by the use of unleavened bread and the unfermented fruit of the vine, the members only of a given Baptist church are to commemorate together the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ.

THE RAPTURE

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ shall catch away all believers before the great Tribulation Period. At the close of the Tribulation the saints will return with Christ to the earth to live and reign with Him 1,000 years. The Rapture of the Saints is an imminent event (at any moment).
