In response to the COVID-19 virus, Bible Baptist Church of Crookston has canceled all services and activities through the month of April. A message will be streamed live on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, on the church’s Facebook page.
To our Dear Church and Community,
The church has often been the place that people look to for hope and comfort during times of uncertainty. When fear sets in and the things that usually offer us security are taken away, we realize our need for the unchanging truth of the Word of God. It was our desire to remain open and available as long as possible to be that sort of spiritual refuge during this crisis. Unfortunately, because of the danger of spreading this virus, meeting together as a church would now potentially put people into harm’s way, and make the church a place of fear rather than comfort.
It is encouraging to see so many of our neighbors, businesses, and churches in Crookston making the difficult decisions that are necessary to keep our community safe. To the same goal, we will be canceling all services and activities at Bible Baptist Church at least through April 8th.
This crisis is not only medical or economic, but also spiritual in nature. In an effort to do what we can to still minister and be a help, our church will live stream a Bible message on Sunday morning at 11:00 am on the Bible Baptist Church Facebook page, where we will also be posting some devotional thoughts and videos throughout the week.
We want to encourage you to be faithful in giving your tithes and offerings during this time. You can mail them to the church at P.O. Box 134, Crookston, MN 56716. You can also now give securely online by going to https://tithe.ly/give?c=1395158.
If you need anything, we would like to help if we can. We have volunteers who would be happy to bring you some food or emergency supplies if you need them. Our church office is still open, and we are available to visit with you on the phone if you need someone to talk to about spiritual things.
As the Bible says in Philippians 4:6-7, “Be careful [worried] for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
